Please review the general information, terms, and conditions for our
Guided trips below prior to completing your Reservation Form. ‘Black Sheep’
refers to Black Sheep Touring Co., Ltd.
Due to the fluctuating nature of exchange rates, our tours are priced
and sold in New Zealand dollars only. Check with one of our Travel
Consultants, use our online currency converter or contact your bank for
indicative pricing in your currency of choice.
A single supplement is charged for individuals requesting or requiring a single room.
Prices include a New Zealand Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 15%.
Prices are subject to change in the event of supplier increases and/or GST fluctuations.
Your reservation is held with a deposit of NZ$1500 per person,
accompanied by your completed Reservation Form(s). Your deposit can be
paid in one of three ways: include your Visa or MasterCard details on
your Reservation Form, call a Black Sheep Travel Consultant with your
credit card information, or make a New Zealand dollar bank transfer.
Contact a Black Sheep Travel Consultant for transfer details.
Please note that the exchange rate used on the date of your deposit does
not lock in the exchange rate for the remaining balance payment of your
tour if that payment is made at a later date. To secure an exchange
rate, your tour may be paid for in full at the same time as your deposit
or anytime prior to the full balance due date as advised below.
The following balance-payment conditions apply to Experience Group Tours only:
- The balance of tour payment for all Experience Group Tours except the Wild South Experience tour is due at least 60 days before the New Zealand departure date of your tour.
- The balance of payment for the Wild South Experience tour is due at least 120 days before the New Zealand departure date of your tour.
- To secure an exchange rate, your tour may be paid for in full at
the same time as your deposit or any time prior to the full balance due
date as advised above.
- Black Sheep’s acceptance of your deposit and receipt of your Reservation Form(s) confirms space on your tour of choice.
The following conditions apply to Private Tours only:
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- The balance of tour payment is due at least 90 days before the New Zealand departure date of your tour.
- The receipt of your deposit begins the booking process of your
Private Tour. Once bookings have been made, final pricing of
your tour will be advised and a Confirmation Packet will be sent to you
confirming all arrangements and providing further information about New
Zealand and the details of your tour.
Please note the following conditions for all tours:
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- If unforeseen circumstances require a change in itinerary, Black
Sheep will make every effort to ensure alternative accommodations
and/or activities are of the same high quality and will keep route
modifications minimal. In the case where the tour has to be truncated
for any reason, Black Sheep will refund the portion of the tour that was
missed. The value of the refund will be calculated based on the per
diem cost of the tour multiplied by the number of days missed.
- Black Sheep reserves the right to cancel any tour at any time
for any reason, including if insufficient reservations are made for the
tour or if Black Sheep believes the quality of the trip or the safety of
its guests would be compromised. In this instance, all payments
received will be refunded 21 days before the scheduled departure of the
tour. This will constitute full and final settlement. In the event of
cancellation, Black Sheep is not responsible for any loss incurred on
account of non-refundable or non-transferable air tickets or other
unrecoverable travel costs. Travel insurance is highly recommended to
cover any unforeseen circumstances that might affect your trip.
- All cancellations by a potential Black Sheep traveler must be advised to Black Sheep Touring Co. in writing.
The following cancellation conditions apply to Experience Group Tours only:
- For cancellations received less than 45 days before the New
Zealand departure date of your tour, all money received will be
refunded, less the reservation deposit of NZ$1500 and any supplier fees, provided all spaces
on the tour are filled. If all spaces are not filled, no refund is due.
The following cancellation conditions apply to Private Tours only:
Insurance & Compensation
- For cancellations received less than 90 days before the New Zealand departure date of your tour, no refund is due.
In the event of an accident, medical costs for visitors to New Zealand
are partially covered by the Accident Compensation Commission overseen
by the New Zealand Government (details of the coverage are listed at
www.acc.co.nz). In addition, Black Sheep Touring Co. Ltd carries a NZ$1
million broad form liability insurance policy. However, because neither
of these programs guarantees total cover in all situations, it is
strongly recommended that all travelers obtain a travel insurance policy
for the duration of their trip. This protects you financially from
unforeseen circumstances such as illness, family emergencies, lost
luggage, or other situations that may affect your travel plans. Our
Travel Consultants can help you obtain travel insurance if you wish.
Please feel free to discuss this option when booking.
Passports & Visas
All international visitors to New Zealand require a valid passport and a
departing air ticket. The passport must be valid for three months
beyond your scheduled departure date from New Zealand. US and Canadian
citizens do not need to apply for a Visitor’s Visa if planning to visit
for three months or less. British citizens may be granted a Visitor’s
Permit valid for six months on arrival. These conditions are as of the
time of print. Please check with one of our Travel Consultants or visit
the New Zealand immigration website (www.immigration.govt.nz) for the
latest requirements, or if you are a citizen of a country other than
